Julie Lockhart moved from the Los Angeles area to the great Pacific NW about 2 years ago. Her artistic talents have been far and wide but she has been concentrating and focusing more on her wire-working skills and has just started into cutting her own cabochons. She wants to see jewelry art evolve and would like to see an artist community that supports each other to reach new heights and goals.
Her creativity is inspired by architecture, plants/flowers, art deco and Frank Lloyd Wright. She is in the process of trying to simplify her life (even though she has 4 children and a husband!) so she can focus on her passion of jewelry art.
Her wealth of knowledge regarding Mother Nature’s incredible ability to create the complexities that form semi-precious material is astounding. Applying that knowledge with her beautiful wire-work creations makes her an up and coming artist to watch closely and follow. We are so fortunate to have Julie as part of our Bird Tail Beads’ Instructors team and want her to go far pursuing her passions!
